Shopify apparel store / October 2026
GMC Everyday
My Shopify apparel demo, focused on clear product listings, organized collections and a simple shopping flow.
Personal Shopify demo projectThe brief
A coherent apparel store.
I set up GMC Everyday as an apparel demo with a black-and-white storefront. The goal was to group products clearly, make size selection easy and keep navigation simple.
Implemented scope
12 products. 48 variants. 5 collections.
- Product descriptions, four size variants and unique SKUs
- Automatic tag-based collections and menus
- Styled text logo, fashion banner, category grid, product edit and footer
- Size guide, store pages, product SEO and homepage metadata
Corrections made during review
Details that made the store clearer.
- Matched product titles and color options to the sample garment images.
- Added a serif GMC wordmark with a flowing line detail, then checked its spacing in the desktop and mobile header.
- Removed repeated project notices and personal portfolio links from shopping pages; kept one footer notice.
- Replaced generic product styling copy and simplified the About, FAQ and customer-care pages.
- Added homepage SEO details and checked visitor access.
Actual observations / 31 October 2026
Checked before handoff.
- Homepage checked at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no horizontal overflow or broken rendered images observed.
- All 12 product pages, five collections and seven customer-facing information pages opened at mobile width.
- Catalog counts: 12 active products, 48 variants, 48 unique SKUs and 22 images.
- Cream Tailored Trousers: M / Cream selected correctly at $48; L remained sold out.
- Cart quantity and removal checked through visible controls.
- Earlier test checkout created order #1001 for $56, confirmed as a Shopify test order; fulfillment was simulated without a shipment.
About this project
Practice through a complete store setup.
I put this demo together to practice Shopify product listings, size variants, collections, page sections and store checks.
Products and images are sample content for demonstration. This is a personal practice project. The store does not accept or fulfill real orders.
